Your customers trust you with their questions, their feedback and the details behind a problem. Where that information lives matters.
Gleap now offers a US data center region in New York, alongside our EU region in Frankfurt. When you create your account, you can choose where your customer content is hosted. For US accounts, customer databases, uploaded files and backups stay in the United States.
This is an important step in our expansion in the US. It gives American software teams a local hosting option and helps us serve businesses whose customer relationships come with specific data residency requirements.
A home for US customer data
Support contains more than a message and a reply. A conversation can include customer details, attachments and the context your team needs to understand an issue. That information deserves a clear home.
Our US region runs in DigitalOcean’s NYC3 data center in New York. The residency commitment covers three parts of your customer content:
- Customer databases: your account’s customer content is stored in the US region.
- Uploaded files: files uploaded to your US account stay in the United States.
- Backups: backups stay in the same region, too.
Keeping backups local matters. Your hosting decision should cover the copies used for recovery as well as the data your team works with each day.
Built around your requirements
For a US company, choosing support software can involve product, engineering, security and procurement. A tool needs to fit how your business handles customer information.
US hosting gives those teams a concrete option to evaluate. If your internal policy calls for customer databases, files and backups to be stored in the United States, you can now choose a Gleap region that supports that requirement.
It also gives you a clearer answer when your own customers ask where their support data is stored. You can name the country, the hosting location and the content covered, then point to the documented processing scope.
That clarity can make vendor reviews more straightforward. Your team can assess a defined US hosting option against its requirements and explain the decision to customers with confidence.
Growing with US teams
Serving more US customers means building around the needs of the businesses using Gleap. Regional hosting is part of that work.
Gleap brings customer support, bug reports and product feedback into one platform. Adding a US region makes that platform an option for more teams that need domestic customer-content storage, including businesses evaluating support software as they grow into larger customer accounts.
For us, this creates room to expand. For you, it means more choice about the infrastructure behind your customer relationships. You can build your support workflow around your team and choose the hosting region that fits your business.
Our EU region remains available in Frankfurt. Teams can choose EU or US hosting when they create their account.
Clear scope, informed choices
Our US residency commitment covers customer databases, uploaded files and backups. Other processing has its own scope: AI features and supporting providers, email delivery, connected integrations, account operations and global delivery may involve locations outside your selected region.
US accounts use US AI endpoints, but that alone does not establish where every supporting provider operation runs. Our data residency guide and sub-processor schedule explain the details so your team can assess the features it plans to use.
Choose your region
Select US or EU when creating your Gleap account. Your project’s region appears next to its API token in the dashboard. Configure your SDKs and server integrations for that region using our data regions setup guide.
Already using Gleap and considering US hosting? Contact privacy@gleap.io to discuss your account before making changes. Switching an SDK region or API URL does not move existing data.
Your data. Your region. More choice for the teams building with Gleap.
